i remember playing Joe Montana Football back in 1992 and throwing a interception. after the catch, the intercepting player was tackled. my cousin was playing against me, and it was his system, so naturally he wanted to gloat, so he paused the game and selected the new-fangled "instant replay" option. this was the first game that i can remember that had this option, so it was a new thing back then.

well.

when the replay started, everything progressed just as it had in the real game. but after the interception, instead of being tackled like he was just seconds earlier, the intercepting player broke 2 tackles and ran the ball back for a TOUCHDOWN!!!! i was like WHAT THE FUUUUUUUCK and screamed bloody murder. when the replay was over, both teams were lined up for the extra point. i could NOT believe it. Joe Montana Football was the only reality-bending game i ever played.
